Training for Teachers

Teacher training courses are offered monthly in various locations throughout Northern and Central California. Teachers are strongly encouraged to attend the training as soon as possible. By participating in the training early, teachers will have the opportunity and knowledge to engage their students throughout the installation process. We have found that this provides a much more meaningful opportunity to the school and community.

The PG&E Solar Schools Workshops are activity packed, providing the most up-to-date information on all aspects of solar energy. Workshop participants receive instruction and materials valued at nearly $1,000 to help implement innovative hands-on energy units in their classrooms.

To sign up for a teacher training course, log onto www.need.org/pgesolarschools, and click on the teacher training link at the top of the page, or simply fill out the attached application and drop it in the mail.

Substitute reimbursement and lunch will be provided for each teacher who attends the one-day training workshop. Each school may send as many teachers as desired to the solar training workshop. The PG&E Solar Schools Program strives to accommodate all teachers who desire solar training. To request a special in service for your school district you may contact NEED at 800-875-5029.
