Self Funded Solar School Projects
For schools that do not meet the application requirements for an installation grant in the PG&E Solar Schools Program, it is still possible for your school to join the PG&E Program. There is a “self funded” application for schools that are not eligible or do not receive one of the grants for a 1 kW PV installation. Basically your school would raise its own money and pay for the installation itself, but then would be eligible for all of the other program benefits.
